Polar Vortex

It's been a nightmare, trying to get winter pictures.  Either it is so cold that the camera doesn't want to work or the wind is blowing so hard that you can't get a frame lock in order to take the shot and then it blurs.  This is the best I can do.

Colonial Fashionista - Lissie's Back!

Finally, my doll Lissie has returned from Colonial Williamsburg.  For the last month she's been hanging out with her friends, checking out the latest colonial fashions and going to every ball and assembly that she was invited to.  Even though the petticoat trousers raised a few eyebrows, the brown ball gown went over great.

It Is Very Cold Outside

The weather has turned cold and that makes it hard to get good pictures.  The wind keeps blowing, but I managed to get a reasonably clear one after the snow flurries died down.

What's wrong with Turquoise in the Fall?

I was reading some blog posts in the Taptu Reader on my Nook, when one caught my eye complaining how it is fall but people are still wearing "so-called" spring turquoise.  It seems the point was that the turquoise should have been restyled for fall by wearing either black or grey.  After I picked up my eyeballs that had popped out because of reading such stupidity, I started looking at some of my fashion magazines, and wouldn't you know it, they were all talking about light colors for fall.  Not only that but head-to-toe monochromatic color looks.  So I decided to kill two birds with one stone or turquoise.

This outfit was inspired by an outfit I saw a couple of months ago in People Style Watch. The original was meant for an evening out but I was out in the daytime and needed something else to wear with my black jacket.  I don't remember which issue because I had cut out the picture and added it to my style notebook.  The outfit worked out really well.  Now I just have to find something else for the black jacket.
