Bad Coupons

Lane Bryant is the latest store to join the idiotic trend of not allowing their coupons to be used on the clearance racks.  Do these people think that this will make me buy more stuff at regular price or even buy more stuff period?  Hell NO!!!!  Too much of the stuff is made as cheaply as Forever21 plus merchandise but it cost two or even three times as much.  Not only that, they come up with some of the weirdest stuff for plus sizes I have ever seen.  This is saying a lot because I remember when Lane Bryant was the store that sold polyester pleated skirts to little old black church ladies.  The kind that had the pleats all around and an elastic waistband.  At that time, I never knew a white woman who would even admit to knowing what a Lane Bryant was let alone admit to shopping from the catalog.

Now things have changed a lot and I appreciate that even if the stuff is not my style, but screwing around with the coupons is not the way to go.  All it will do is lose more customers and have the merchandise hanging on the racks until it is time for Social Security or you send it to the clearance outlet in Lodi, Ohio.  Not Smart.  I would hate to see Lane Bryant go the way of Fashion Bug and Dots; but if you continue on this path, that's what will happen.

By the way, the pants I'm wearing came from the Lane Bryant clearance rack.  I got them for $5 after the $15 coupon discount.  Why where they on clearance in the first place?  First clue:  the length.  I am a short person who did not need to hem these pants at all.  So that means on all the average height women, the pants ended above well
above their ankles.  Second clue: the pants are made of a heavier weight material that works almost three months of the year (Fall, Spring and Winter).  See what the problem is?  A pair of pants that are almost capri length that are too hot to wear in the summer.  No woman in Ohio, in her right mind are going to pay full price for this and most in the Toledo area refused to buy them from the clearance rack at all.  I could because I'm short and I love brightly colored clothes.  For the record, I bought all the pants in that particular line, except for the light beige (my size had sold out).  So far the pants are doing great but I could not buy these pants for my relatives because they were too short and now you tell me I can't use my $15 coupon on the clearance racks?  Guess what, I will spend even less time in the store than I do now but I'm sure Lane Bryant doesn't care.  Oh well, there goes another store.  Too bad.

Jacket-Walmart $20, Scarf-JCPenneys $5, T-shirt-Kohls $5, Pants-Lane Bryant $5 (After $15 coupon), Shoes-Old Navy $20, Ring-Glitter Accessories $1
